Hi guys, I wanted to announce that I have completed the base functionality on the Android app.  I made this a web page so that I could show you the various features with proper screen shots:

A Tour

The opening of the app comes to Pembina Medical Clinic (for now) and displays the current business on the front page:

At the bottom of the screen are listed the features that work with that business.  Each business will have a different set of features depending on what they offer.

Search screen

The white search field is where people can find other businesses.  They can search on the business name, or on a keyword that the business purchases (more about that later). 

Custom Business

As mentioned before, each business has different functions.  Also, each business can specify a custom image to display on the main screen when their image is selected.

New Features

I have added some new features and usability improvements to the app, based both on user comments I have received and features I feel will be successful in the future.

Privacy Wizard

Upon first entering the app, the Pembina Medical Clinic will first show a button to 'Get Started' which will lead the user through entering their name:

Find Us

Almost all businesses will get a 'Find Us' page with important details on the location of the business and a map.

Appointment Booking

Yes!  We now have appointment booking.  These are the screens for selecting a type of appointment and reviewing open appointments:

Simple Events

 Capping off the list of new features, I felt it would be helpful to make a simple concise event page for business, bands, fundraising organizations and the like.  Pressing on each event listing will zoom to the location on the map.

Unwait Tags

I am also introducing the concept of 'Unwait Tags'.  An unwait tag can be any sequence of characters and will sell for a certain amount of money based on the length and scope of the tag.  Examples:

cars.enery
cars.supersales
medical.pmc

These might be tags that I give to my buddy the car dealer for free.  They start with at least one category and a dot.

These tags will be reserved (for obvious reasons):

Folkarama

As our platform grows, we can sell these tags for big money.
